A fitting start to '08....an early morning shot of a windmill shadow and a great road in northern CA and the CerveloBeast.

Great picture to start us off with, Twain... but... where's the snow?
Apropos Trivia Question: What is the difference between shade and shadow?

Ok, Here's a couple of shots of my first ride for 2008 this morning. This is part of the "west Loop" of the Tehachapi Valley going up old Town Road...

...and a shot of Yours Truly in Stallion Springs, note the snow on the hills in the background and a Special Note the spiffy Long Sleeve Jersey that's from Corinth Cycling Club in Texas. Scot, the Club Prez sent it to me it last month,
Thanks Scot!!!!

Howard
Well this was on some nice road in Auburn near Sacramento on the 1st. It is howling now and the 1st storm is just coming over the peaks now. They say we are in for 3 storms with perhaps as much as 5 to 10 feet of snow in the upper elevations. Thankfully we are mostly "shadowed" out by the mountains and have it made in the shade as far as shoveling the driveway.
That's my take on the difference anyway.

Gorgeous Shots guys!
Answer = a shadow is cast between light source and wall, floor, ground etc... Shade causes a change in temperature and is a heavier "shadow"?

1. Whoa! You gotta shave more often. I know we're both dudes and all, so don't take this wrong, but you're a stud when clean-shaven!
2. You wore that awesome suit on the bike?!! I hope you wrapped yourself up in Saran Wrap first!
3. Did you grow?
